Hi there! I'm Liam, a Journeyman Red Seal Carpenter and the owner of Donnelly Woodworking.
My work is guided by two core values: care and sincerity. I incorporate these values into every project.
I also believe in open communication and excellent client management, and have an ability to keenly observe and understand the space I work in.
Whenever possible, I hand-select materials to allow their inherent characteristics to guide the creative process. This symbiotic relationship between the craftsman and the material is what gives life to remarkable creations.

Can I build anything? You bet. But what’s more important is how I build. I believe my values are what set me apart in this industry.
Care
Care is at the heart of everything I do, and goes beyond simply completing a task. I bring a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and attention to detail to my work. I invest time, effort, and genuine concern, treating the client and the project itself with utmost respect and consideration.
Sincerity
Sincerity plays a significant role in shaping my values. Transparency and open, honest communication. Clear timelines, costs, and challenges. Ethical standards and respect for all ideas. And of course, pride in delivering on my promises.
Craft
My approach goes beyond conforming to industry norms. I strive to break free from the “splash and dash” model that is often seen in modern contracting. I can work with most budgets, but I don’t take shortcuts or compromise.
Observation
I have a keen eye for “reading” the environment I am working in. I can quickly assess the situation, identify potential issues, and come up with creative solutions. This allows me to create pieces that harmonize with the surroundings and enhance the overall ambience.
Connection
Fostering a strong client relationship plays a huge role in my approach to carpentry. I prioritize open communication, and take the time to listen actively. I strive to understand my client’s vision, and genuinely care about their satisfaction with the finished product.

I understand the value and beauty of wood and other materials. Where possible, I carefully select high-quality materials that will not only stand the test of time but also enhance the overall aesthetics of the project. Every piece of wood tells a different story.
